Message Title: The Cure for Un-thankfulness
Message Text: Psalm 100:1-5
Joy Defined: It is a buoyancy based on the pleasures found in the eternal privileges I have in God.
Opposite: Hopelessness and despair, discontentment, unthankful.
Counterfeit: Happiness based on the gifts over the gift-giver.
Four Killjoys: • Circumstances • People • Things • Worry
Four Mindsets that Overcome These Killjoys:
Single Mindset (Philippians 1) (Joy despite Circumstances)
“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21
Servant Mindset (Philippians 2) (Joy despite People)
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3
Spiritual Mindset (Philippians 3) (Joy despite Things)
“Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things. 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 3:19-20
Secure Mindset (Philippians 4) (Joy that defeats Worry)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
Life isn’t easy! We all know that. Praise doesn’t always come out naturally many days of our lives, but as we meditate and gain revelation on who God is and His character, the truth of God’s Word produces hearts of praise.
When Pride Goes Out The Holy Spirit Comes in
L. Moody said, “I believe that the moment our hearts are emptied of pride, selfishness and everything that is contrary to God’s law, the Holy Spirit will fill every corner of our hearts.”

Mindset – is a set of attitudes and beliefs that affect our behavior.
Some people minds are like concrete, thoroughly mixed up and firmly set.
6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. Romans 8:6
