First Baptist Church of Vincent, Alabama
March 3, 2024
To the Beloved Congregation and Friends of First Baptist Church, Vincent:
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our dear fellow deacon, Fred E. Bouchet. Fred was a devoted servant of the Lord, a pillar of our church community, and a faithful friend to all who knew him.
Fred’s unwavering commitment to the ministry of our church was evident in his tireless efforts to serve others. Whether it was assisting with Sunday services, leading Bible studies, or offering a helping hand to those in need, Fred exemplified the true spirit of a deacon. His warm smile, kind words, and genuine compassion touched the lives of countless individuals within our congregation and beyond.
As we mourn the loss of our beloved brother, let us also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. Fred’s faithfulness, wisdom, and dedication have left an indelible mark on our church family. We are grateful for the privilege of having served alongside him and for the countless memories we shared.
In this time of grief, let us draw comfort from the promise of eternal life in Christ. As the apostle Paul reminds us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13, “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope.” Fred’s hope was firmly anchored in the Savior, and we rejoice in the assurance that he now rests in the presence of the Lord.
Fred served as the Deacon Secretary for over 50 years, faithfully recording the minutes of our meetings, organizing events, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our deacon body. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to the administrative aspects of our ministry were invaluable.
May we find solace in the promise of resurrection and the hope of reunion in glory.
In Christ’s love,
The Deacon Body of First Baptist Church, Vincent
