Why the Cross?
- Real Forgiveness is costly.
- When you have been wronged there are two ways to deal with it.
1.Make the perpetrators suffer for it.
2.You can forgive and absorb the debt.
2. Real Forgiveness is a personal exchange.
What Now? How to get the freedom that comes from the Cross – Gospel
1.Let the Truth of Cross Offend You
- To the intellectual Greek the cross was foolishness.
- To the power control hungry Romans, the Cross was weakness.
2.Let the Grace of the Cross Transform You
Transformation is God’s goal. Transformation – a permanent change on the outside that came from the inside.
19 My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, Galatians 4:19
29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. Romans 8:28
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2
Transformation is what you out to do, you now want to do.
