Message Truth: Faith is what gets you started, being faithful keeps you going and allows God to finish His work in your life.
Message Text: Luke 17:11-19
“Go show yourselves to the priest” v.14
1.To affirm God’s commands (the people were instructed to go to the priest to affirm they were clean)
2.To show Jesus is God (miracles were done to confirm, not convince)
3.To test the faith of the lepers (there is not faith without action) “Faith without works (action) is dead.” James 2:2
What Were the Results?
1.Ten cried out but only one came back to thank Him
2.Ten were healed but only one was saved
3.Ten got something temporal but one eternal
“your faith (sozo) has saved you” v.19
Three Questions:
1.Do we thank God as much as we ask of Him? What’s the ratio?
2.How would the world be different if God answered all your prayers the past 4 weeks?
3.Do we give to God the Glory (thankfulness) He deserves after we get from God the things in life we do not deserve?
