Message Text: Matthew 14:22-33
What Does It Look Like to Live with Faith in Jesus When We are Surrounded by a Storm?
1. Faith is tested when we feel the absence of Jesus (v.23)
- Jesus had not abandoned them- Don’t be afraid (v.27)
2. Faith Responds at the command of Jesus (v.28)
- Why would Peter ask that? Just say Jesus come into the boat.
- Peter responded at the command of Jesus
- Faith is not being stupid…it is a response to God’s Promise and Will in real life situations.
3. Faith depends on the faithfulness of Jesus (v.30)
- “Lord save me”- For us…being saved means you have a living savior.
4. Faith worships in the presence of Jesus (v.33)
- Truly you are the son of God
- Worship is a response to who God is and what he has done.
